Berhampur:In a landmark initiative aimed at boosting local industries and creating employment opportunities for the locals, TP Southern Odisha Distribution Limited (TPSODL) took a step towards employing empowering local manufacturers in rural pockets of Southern Odisha. One of the key outcome of this collaboration is the setting up of new pre-stressed concrete pole PSC poles manufacturing units by JSME Energy and Power in the Ganjam district.
Located in Bhabandha in Purusottampur block, this manufacturing unit represents the empowerment of local manufacturers. Specializing in the production of PSC poles, renowned for their durability and quality-assured standards in cement concrete, these poles hold paramount importance in the power distribution sector for facilitating electrical connections and fittings.
Commencing operations in June 2023, the unit is geared to produce an impressive capacity of 1700 PSC poles. Beyond its industrial significance, this initiative stands as a help for local employment, providing sustainable livelihoods for 10 families within the region.
Furthermore, this venture helps in TPSODL's expansive network expansion project, which spans a vast area covering 48,752 square kilometers across 8 districts.
